My journey home with Rose The Mannequin

I brought Rose home today! I purchased her for fifty dollar from a store in Walnut Creek via phone a couple of weeks ago. So I finally got a chance to retrieve her. Boy! Did we have a journey! I had to get her from the shop in Walnut Creek to the train, to the bus, to my home in SF. Via walking and public transport! Its more than a wee journey! Luckily a very nice couple offered to drive me from the shop in Walnut Creek to the train station! I wasn't exactly looking forward to carrying her..she's a sturdy lassy (read: heavy!). So, God answered my prayer and I received a kind offer of a ride to the train station! And then we were on our way. One train ride and one bus ride later (and a small walk home) we arrived safely. These are pics of our journey home!!
On the Bart train!!

Off the Bart and waiting for the bus!

Chillin!

Cheesin! Me and Rose!

We have arrived!

Me and Rose. Home at last!

Thankful for the journey!

Introducing Rose! I bought a mannequin today (I named her Rose!) to display the ...clothes for Yistrut when I take pics! I was able to purchase her for 50 dollars which is a GREAT price as they go for 200 or 300 dollars. Isn't Rose beautiful??? Thankful! I am looking forward to taking pics of the new items that I bought (pics up on Wed). So happy that the beautiful Rose will be displaying them.

Michael Kors 90's Jacket

You really just can't say enough about the comfortable beauty of a Michael Kors piece. And this jacket is no different. It is comfy and fabulous all at the same amazing time (I actually believe that it might be 80's due to the shoulders and the way it is cut in the front.). Michael Kors has got to be one of our best designers. Ever. He just knows how to cut well for the female form. For example, this jacket will look awesome on different shapes. It is magical! Its a lovely casual to dressy-casual jacket that will take you from the daytime to the evening. Unfortunately, if you like to have the label inside your clothes...the label has been removed. So how do we know its Kors? Well, all great designers have their "hallmarks" stamped in different places on their pieces. And with this piece its on the zipper tab! Yah! I am so pleased to offer this piece. Because its wonderful and its from an amazing artist, man, designer: Michael Kors. Size Ten. 40 Dollars. (ps I love Michael Kors!)

Vintage 80's Louis Feraud Suits

Mr. Feraud. Amazing amazing French designer and artist. Finding these gems was a true miracle. If you want to read a bit about Mr. Feraud please click onto this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louis_F%C3%A9raud. Mr. Feraud was known for dressing " the Parisian elite and designed the wardrobe of Bridgit Bardot for many of her movies." Also, "in 1950, Louis Féraud created his first "Maison de Couture" in Cannes and by 1955 had established a couture house in Paris on the Rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré." So without further interruption...here are the two suits. The first one is a beautiful soft pink and the second suit is a soft yellow green. They are both a Size Eight. The price for each suit is 100 dollars.

60's Colorful Jumpsuit With Belt

Now, I know that you all probably don't know my Mom but trust me when I say that she is one of the best dressed ladies on the planet. I bought this jumpsuit because it reminded me of one that she would have worn. I can see her now...lounging around in the backyard during one of our family-friends bar-b-ques, sipping a glass of wine, and chatting away excitedly to her friends! And looking oh so swish in the process. This jumpsuit is wonderful..blue, green, grey and yellow print. Big roomy legs and metal zipper (I lurvvvve metal zippers!) down the back. Size Ten. 35 dollars.

Choccy 1960's Vintage Purse

Okay so ya'll know that I do loveeeeee my purses. So, here's a cute lil treasure. Great detailing. It reminds me of a purse that Julia would have worn. You remember Julia! No? She was the character in a TV Show called Julia (no kidding). She had a son named Corey and was a nurse. Here's a blurb on the show: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julia_(TV_series). Ahhh...such a cool show! Anyway, back to the bag! Cute handle and lotsa room inside! I adore the deep chocolate color. Very fashionable dahlink! 25 dollars.

The Perfect Lil Tee Shirt (Creatively Inspired)

*THUD* Oh, that was just me fainting as I looked at the pics of this tee shirt once again! I absolutely LOVE it! I found it...well, I will keep it a secret! The maker of this tee looks like she pulled apart a regulat tee shirt and added the lil black bits down the side. Its cute, flirty, strong and sassy all in one. This is a selection I made on the search for Creatively Inspired clothing. Creatively Inspired means, in part, making something beautiful out of "nothing". Just like this lovely tee! This old grey tee got heaps of STRUT-factor! And its very wearable. Jeans, pants, skirt..it all works! Machine washable with cold water. Fits a size 10. want it? 20 buckaroos and its yours!

Vintage 70's Patchwork Polynesian Skirt (Creatively Inspired)

This is one of the pieces that I selected for Yistrut's mission to also present Creatively Inspired clothing. I always reckon that life is like a mosaic-puzzle-tapestry-patchworked piece of beauty. Much like this colorFULLLLL Vintage 70's Polynesian wrap skirt. The skirt wraps around and ties comfortably in the back. Perfect for wearing with a long knitted ankle length sweater and your fav pair of boots. Or in the spring/summer throw on your lil tee and your well worn Havianas! The skirt will fit a size 10 or 12 very comfortably. I found this particular skirt at an op shop in the Mission in SF. The salesperson said that they are rare and that they hardly get them. So I was lucky to get my hands on this one! Whew! The label read: Alice Polynesian Fashions.  Machine or hand wash in cold water. Hang dry. It is yours for 25 dollars!

Beautiful Ethnic Vintage Dress

I am so very sorry but I know very little about this dress. Including where I got it from! What I do know is that it is extremely beautiful. Crafted wonderfully. It is hand stitched and embroidered. My first guess is that it is Guatemalan but I am really not sure! It is just simply gorgeous. You can wear it free flowing or belted. Either way looks fab. Wear with a pair of mid cafe boots and tiny fishnets stockings and you have yourself a winner. And a mass of bangles on one arm and a chunky ring. Good to go. Fits beautifully on the following sizes: 10, 12, or 14 (because it depends on how you want to where it). very good condition. And its yours for 55 dollars.
