The what's what of Yistrut

Part One: The Beginning I am the former owner of the fabulous vintage boutique The Diva's Closet in Sydney, Australia. My client list included, amongst others, Australian celebrities and Fashionistas such as Cate Blanchett, Bridie Carter, Georgie Parker, Yasmin Sewell, Jules Sebastian, Prinnie Stevens, and Bertie Blackman. I was also blessed enough to have the beautiful Beyonce stop by for a visit (it was a very special moment!). My clothing was regularly featured in Australian Magazines such as Harper's Bazaar, Vogue, Madison, Follow and SummerWinter. My clothes were consistently worn on the Australian red carpets of the Logies, the AFI , the MTV, and the Aria award shows. The Diva's Closet frocks were also worn to the Cannes Film Festival Award events for several years by Australian movie Producers and Directors. Additionally, my dresses were featured in advertisements for Nokia, Bulgarie, Revlon, MTV, Redken, and Mini Cooper. I was also a lecturer at one of Sydney's fashion colleges, The Fashion Business Insitute. I returned home to the USA in 2006 and have been collecting beautiful pieces of clothing and accessories along the way. Part Two: So what about now?? Well, now is what I like  to call...Part Two of my fashion journey. I have decided to continue the journey here in the USA and launch Yistrut! Yistrut is an online business that features vintage, second time 'round, and creatively inspired clothing and accessories.   So, what's with the weird name Yistrut (you are probably wondering!)? Answer: Why. I. Strut. i am bold, beautiful, creative and i have something to say to the world!!! And THAT is Y.I.STRUT. Get it? Cus, Sistas you should get your STRUT on! Be boldly you and show the world what you are all about! And that is the what's what of Yistrut! Yistrut launches the first week of Dec 2011 (this week!!) and I hope that you will enjoy shopping online with my quirky little store. Yistrut items will not be for the faint of heart.
